Jean, Edie, Nora, Stella and Kate for Vogue UK (September 2017)

End of an era for Alexandra Shulman. As she exits as editor in chief, she leave us with a tame September British Vogue cover. Quite thrilled for Edward Enninful reign that started the 1st of this month.

A lovely group shot, strategically grouped. Joan and Karlie are known to many as favorites of Anna, and Cara – who doesn’t know Cara? Although many said it’s safe and plain, I am pleased with the foldout cover.

Chanel F/W 14.15 Paris – Favorite Looks

Chanel F/W 14.15

What the regular people like us would do to step inside in the Chanel Shopping Center? The perfect mirror to Costco. Karl blends the idea of equality by humanizing the Chanel woman. “The supermarket is a thing of today’s life. Even the woman who wears expensive clothing goes to the supermarket, but she shouldn’t go in stilettos. The flat shoe makes the woman equal of men. When they have high [shoes], they play a part like a geisha, and they can’t be expected to be taken that seriously – Karl Lagerfeld” – WWD.

Each collection the Chanel woman becomes more relaxed. I love the sneakers and the glamour that’s attired on top – a thing that’s done normally but in private becomes more of the upfront and perfectly fine. Sporty, yet elegant – another fabulous collection.

Balmain F/W 14.15 Paris – Favorite Looks

Balmain FW 14.15

“Gone were the flashy inspirations of Las Vegas, Miami and Russia, replaced here with “Freedom, and part of my youth,” Rousteing said backstage before the show. “This time, the only travel I did was to myself, to my generation  and to global ethnicities.” – WWD.”

Initially I had mixed feelings looking at this collection when it first came down the runway, then after the 5th looking I am actually in love. Olivier Rousteing is just an inspirational guy, there can’t be a doubt in the greatness of his talent. His traveling does reflect in the collection. Very strong, sexy and vibrant looks not emphasizing on a particular age (which is a good thing) – also impeccable patterns, use of colors and leather.

Bottega Veneta F/W 14.15 Milan – Favorite Looks

Bottega Veneta FW 14.15Not what I expected but Bottega Veneta designer Tomas Maier left me pleased with this collection. Very artsy, mirrors the men’s collection perfectly. I am at ease looking at this collection – great structure, the mash-up of fabrics and colors – superb, each look flows effortlessly.
